Sources and method
Nutrients
Values per 100 g come from USDA FoodData Central (SR Legacy), the same record as the measure weights in the kitchen converter. For chia seeds, SR Legacy record 170554, fuller than the brand label used for the weight.
Method
The weight of the measure (USDA weighing, or density) multiplies the values per 100 g. Percentages compare with an adult's reference intakes from EU Regulation 1169/2011 (2,000 kcal, 800 mg calcium, 14 mg iron…). A vitamin or mineral shows only when 100 g give at least 5%. Salt is sodium times 2.5.
