β What can I cook with what I have?
French toast
The best fate for stale bread: soaked in egg and milk, fried in butter until crisp outside and soft inside.

Method
- Cut the bread into thick slices, about 2 cm.
- Beat the eggs with the milk, half the sugar and the vanilla sugar in a shallow dish.
- Melt a little butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Dip each slice in the mixture for a few seconds on each side.
- Fry for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden, adding butter between batches.
- Sprinkle with the rest of the sugar, and a little cinnamon if you like, and serve hot.
π‘ Tip : The staler the bread, the better it soaks up the mixture without falling apart.
